ChickyFox™ HD is a music video app for children ages 3 and above. The app features two ChickyFox™ songs with different styles which both feature smooth and funny 2D artwork and animation to entertain your kids with. The two music videos could be found on the main menu of the app along with a short background story about them, which can be read by a narrator by tapping the “Read for Me” button. After that, users need only to press the “Play” button to play the full screen HD music video of their choice. ChickyFox™ HD combines catchy melodies, whimsical lyrics, colorful artwork, and smooth animations to give children a music video app, which they can have fun, enjoy, and sing along with. Although this is a simple app, children will definitely be playing with this again and again.

Say Hello World

Today I'm going to write a programming language called lua in a text editor using TextWrangler. Now, let's type the following 2 lines in your text editor.

textObject = display.newText ("Hello World!", 50,40, native.systemFont, 36)
textObject : setTextColor (255,255,255)

50 is for X position while 40 is for Y position.

Now, save it to your folder called Hello World & name your file as main.lua inside the folder. Open up Corona SDK & choose your device to simulate. For this tutorial I choose iPhone.

Done! You can now create 2 lines of code just to say hello world.
